Tuition Reimbursement Program
History & Background: The COLEG Tuition Reimbursement Program was established in 2000 by a small group within the Lancaster community interested in advanced education of community students. The intent of the program is to provide assistance to individuals seeking to build upon the education they received at Lancaster School and to those that have shown a sense of community evidenced by their involvement throughout those years.
The program is a second through fourth year award. This means that reimbursement funds are available only to those applicants who successfully complete* their first full year of advanced education and are returning for subsequent classes. Awards are made under the program to eligible seniors upon graduation from Lancaster High School.
Eligibility: Any graduating senior of Lancaster High School is eligible to apply for the COLEG Tuition Reimbursement Program. Need is not a requirement.
How and When to Apply: Senior applicants can apply for the COLEG Tuition Reimbursement Program beginning in January of the year in which they will graduate. The deadline for consideration is April 1, of that same year.
To be considered, an applicant should forward a brief summary of their extra curricular activities (school and community based) along with a copy of their high school transcript/s, and their permanent mailing address. This should be included with a cover letter explaining the candidate's future plans and any other pertinent details they wish to share in terms of personal aspirations. There is no minimum or maximum for this letter.
This letter with the above-mentioned attachments should be forwarded to the address listed below prior to the April 1 deadline for applications:

Applicants will also be informed of the amount and number of years they are eligible to receive reimbursement under this program.
Important Note: The COLEG Tuition Reimbursement Program is supervised by the board of directors of the Community of Lancaster Education Group. They reserve the right to alter the program, eligibility or the award procedure. At their complete discretion, they may also discontinue any and all awards at any time and for any reason.
* Successful completion means the designee has carried a full load of classes as defined by the institution they have attended and maintained a C average or better on a cumulative basis. For a point based system where 4.0 is an A, 2.0 or better will be considered successful completion.
